The latest addition to Wellen Park and its development strategy is set to be a massive Costco store easily accessible by residents in the area. With the national retailer having recently finalized the acquisition of the site. Positioned near U.S. 41, just east of West Villages Parkway, the 157,000-square-foot store is slated to open its doors in early summer 2024, as per announcements from Wellen Park and a Costco spokesperson.

Having disclosed plans for the establishment of its third warehouse in the region earlier this year, Costco has wasted no time, with construction already underway.
The president of Wellen Park, Rick Severance, expressed enthusiasm about the development in a press release on , stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Costco to Wellen Park. This is an incredible addition for our residents, as they have been very encouraged about what Costco will provide for them.”
