Enhanced Safety Measures Coming to Downtown Wellen

Share

As our community continues to grow and thrive, so does the need to ensure it remains a safe, welcoming place for all who live, work, and visit here. In response to rising foot traffic during peak times, Wellen Park management has taken a proactive step to enhance security in our downtown.

Starting this weekend June 6th, 2025 , a dedicated North Port Police officer will be present downtown every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening

This new security measure is designed to provide peace of mind to residents, business owners, and guests alike—ensuring that evenings in Downtown Wellen remain enjoyable and worry-free.

Whether you’re out for a sunset stroll, dining at your favorite local spot, enjoying live music, or taking part in community events, this added presence is here to support a safe and vibrant atmosphere for all.

If you have questions or observe any issues, management encourages you to reach out directly. Your feedback and cooperation are always appreciated as we work together to maintain the high quality of life that makes Wellen Park so special.

Stay safe, stay connected, and thank you for being part of Whats Up Wellen.

Hi, I’m Jamie— a local Wellen Park business owner, born and raised in Florida, and the human behind What’s Up Wellen. What’s Up Wellen began as a simple way to track all the fun happening around Wellen Park — from live music and pop-up markets to new businesses and new developments. We wanted a go-to spot where locals and curious visitors could get a quick, fun, and truly local take on what’s happening each week. Based right in Downtown Wellen Park and open 7 days a week, we’ve got our finger on the pulse of the community.
