Venice High Unveils Its Brand New Football Stadium

Venice High School just leveled up in a big way.

After years of dominance on the gridiron, the Venice High Indians now have a stadium that matches the power and pride of the program. As of July 10, 2025, the brand new facility is officially open and it is an absolute showstopper.

We are talking major league upgrades. Clean turf with bold green and white markings. A modern track surrounding the field. Seating that stretches across both sidelines with room to roar. Whether you are a longtime booster or a Friday night newcomer, this new setup makes it clear. Venice football is more than a game. It is a community tradition and now it has a home that reflects it.

Built for Champions

The new stadium replaces the old Powell Davis field which served the school and community for generations. This new build is something else. Designed and constructed by Gilbane Building Company, the layout blends fan comfort with elite athletic performance. From expanded bleachers and a towering scoreboard to updated locker rooms and smoother field access, every element supports both players and fans.

You will also find a brand new press box and wide entrance plaza. The entire facility is more walkable, more accessible, and ready for big events. No more tight walkways or long waits at concessions. This place was built for action.

A Big Season Ahead

The 2025 season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory, and this new stadium will be the centerpiece of it all. Venice will host seven home games this fall, drawing top-tier programs from across the state and beyond.

Among the schools coming to town are IMG Academy’s national team, Clearwater Central Catholic, The First Academy, and cross-county rival Port Charlotte. With matchups like these on the schedule, expect packed stands, electric atmospheres, and serious playoff energy every Friday night.

Friday Nights Just Got Brighter

This is not just a win for Venice High. It is a win for the whole town. From marching band performances to homecoming parades to postseason runs, the new stadium brings fresh energy to every corner of campus.

Expect louder crowds, more memories, and a field that fuels future champions. Whether you are cheering from the stands or coaching from the sidelines, the new Venice High School football stadium is officially open for greatness.
